Meetings
We normally meet
the third Thursday of each month (subject to change) at 7.30pm and would be
pleased to meet any new members.
About
our council
Sittingbourne Council was founded in 1929. Sittingbourne Council works closely
with the Sacred Heart Parish in Sittingbourne, providing funds and supporting
various projects, both locally and nationally, members being active participants
in the parish.
How to Join
Membership
in the Knights of St Columba is open to practicing Catholic men in union with
the Holy See, who are at least 16 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who
lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application
forms are available from any member of the
Knights of St Columba.
Membership BenefitsAs a member of the
Knights of St Columba you and your family will enjoy many personal and family
benefits. It also provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to
the Catholic Church, their communities and young people.
Members receive 6 free issues of
the Columba magazine annually and are eligible for any other benefits provided
by the Knights of St Columba.
We are actively involved with
the stewarding of Pilgrimages at Aylesford Priory
Our ladies also provide
invaluable support to the Knights and the council by providing assistance at
events and fund raising activities.
